Last meal before we die? Kita pasti akan pilih Sushi. Kenapa Sushi? Karena Sushi adalah salah satu makanan yang dulunya sama sekali nggak kita suka. Makan ikan mateng aja kurang suka apalagi makan ikan mentah? Hehehe.. Tapi begitu kita coba makan Sushi di Sushi Tei, dengan mencoba menu favorit kita sampai sekarang yaitu Salmon Crispy Aburi, Tuna Salad Crispy dan Fuji Roll, secara nggak langsung kita declare 'SUSHI IS THE ONE OF OUR FAVORITE FOOD!' Walaupun mentah atau setengah mateng, daging ikan di sana tuh nggak pernah amis, selalu fresh! One meal left before I die is Pork Tenderloin Katsu Set from Katsutoku at Sentral Senayan. It might be pricey but once you try it, you'll come back for more. FYI, it was used to be Katsusei back then in Plaza Indonesia and Grand Indonesia. Later they were gone, but anyhow changed their name into Katsutoko with almost the same menus and still consistently amazing. Honestly, pikiran pertama yang melintas adalah makan masakan mama & berada di rumah. For me, I'll choose Sushi Masa for my very last meal before i die. I've been enjoying sashimi since I first know Sushi Masa and couldn't get enough for it i swear! If you read my article about sushi masa, there's also mention my first time, one and only moodswing experience with the food so far. There're lots and lots of awesome food in Jakarta that I would consider to be my last meal, but for me, my current favourite food which I loove is the Boat Noodle's Sangkaya (34K) homemade fluffy bread steamed and served with a side dip of pandan kaya (coconut jam) and santan (coconut milk). It's a dish that you have to enjoy while it's hot. The bread was really fluffy, but the winner here is the dip. Smooth and thick pandan kaya mixed with fragrant santan to form an unquestionably enjoyable mix of sweetness and fragrance. It's definitely one to enjoy with friends. If I only have one last meal in jakarta, I would go to flip burger, and order 1 smacker + 2 bacon & cheese tater tot. I can imagine that juicy beef patty wrapped around with cheese and crispy bacon. Mine would be Bijin Nabe's Original Collagen Soup (IDR 298K++/ for 2 - 3 pax or IDR 430K++/ for 4-5 pax) because I would want to eat some soul food the moment before the death angel took me, and soul food according to my very own dictionary would be this chicken collagen soup by bijin nabe. I would sit on a table, alone, and inhale those rich, flavourful milky broth that's full of health benefits.
